Urgh!!! The flickering is still in my vision. It’s a constant reminder that there are C cells in my body! Dying ones I hope-

The tiredness is lessening, as is the pain, but the daily infringement on normal life is huge. I have to say the ones to have overcome this episode in my life with least effects are my children. Even coming out in to public, they show no embarrassment at holding my hand to guide me through the busy post Christmas shops. I’m yet to hold my own confidence as high as unashamedly as them.

Joining part of an online community of fellow OMies has been a massive support as it’s a lonely illness; a very rare form of the disease itself. My GP phoned me today to let me know she was thinking of me and was intrigued in what I had to tell her. It is alarming that it’s such an unknown rogue throughout even the medical profession.

The stranger symptoms at 5 days post plaque are the weird burning in my left nostril and throat where the drops are coursing through my tear ducts. I have a strange scratching sensation at the rim of my eyeball and a very heavy feeling on the eyelid. Not to mention the permanently blocked nose! A small price to pay for the innovative and ground breaking treatment that I have and will continue to undergo throughout my journey with Melanoma.
