Overwhelmed

So it’s been 3 days since we went public with our Gala Fundraising invites and the response has been phenomenal. Humbled by the generosity of people who feel touched by OM to come forward in so many different ways. It will be a night to remember- the first of hopefully many more to come. So it’s another operation day today. Working this out I do believe this will be my 9th in not even so many months. Crazy to think that only November last year, things were actually so different. What’s also interesting is the fact that my nerves and fears are slowly calming, genuinely, I am seeing that time is a healer as the adjustments to what was normal but are now ‘new normal’ settle in. The incredible group of people I have come to be in touch with through Ocular Melanoma are a tough bunch, all individual forces to be reckoned with and united we make quite a noise. Forever hoping that our voices in the darkness may be heard by those that hold the purse strings to the research that may cure us.
